The Moonbeam Protocol Roadmap: Five Phases, Each With a Gate
Moonbeam Protocol ships in five phases, each with a gate. Each phase opens only when the one before it can be verified on-chain. No phase ships on an announcement.
Phase 1 — Close the migration, ship the rails
TO 30 SEP 2026 · ACP · IDENTITY
The migration is closed out and the remaining tokens split in public, each posted with receipts. The SDK is released open source, identity and payments registered on the ACP rails, and version one of the contract audited on testnet.
GATE SDK public · registrations on-chain · audit public · splits verifiable
Phase 2 — Custody goes live
Q4 2026 · ACP · TASK CHANNELS
Escrow deploys to Base mainnet with small caps. Judges open to automated grading and proof-based checking, and any verdict can be challenged by posting a bond. An anchor integration routes live jobs from day one, so the first pools earn real premiums in their first week.
GATE pass and slash cycles on mainnet, funds conserved · pools audited before caps rise · a named anchor routing real jobs daily
Phase 3 — Other protocols plug in
Q1 2027 · ACP · DISCOVERY + SDK
Four adapters ship — paid calls, agent jobs, cross-chain fills, hosted work. Each wraps work a protocol already does in a price, a judge and a deadline. The integration fund pays on shipped integrations, not announcements.
GATE one live integration per adapter · no client changes
Phase 4 — The market prices the risk
Q2 2027 · ACP · NETWORK EFFECTS
Coverage auctions run each period and clear at the lowest fee that fills, with every winner paid the clearing rate so honest bidding wins. The fee is published per protocol. Doubters take the inverse of a pool, so the clearing fee is set by belief and doubt together.
GATE fees track real failure rates across periods · doubt capped below the deposits at stake
Phase 5 — Performance goes public
H2 2027 · THE SCOREBOARD
Seasons turn settled jobs into a public record, with four boards ranking backers, doubters, judges and workers beside a failure index per protocol. Season index markets open on each protocol's failure rate, settled on the published record — no oracle, no opinion.
GATE one full season settled on real data
Dates are targets, not commitments; a phase that misses its gate waits, it does not ship. Follow the live version at docs/roadmap.
